What can you make from colored glass pieces, toy parts, coins, beads, and hardware? You'll find out in this one-day Mixed Media No-Grout Mosaics workshop! The materials will inspire your design, and Pam can help you decide which adhesives will work best in creating your one-of-a-kind art piece on a small panel, tile, or picture frame.
All materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your stash of broken jewelry or other small doodads to incorporate into your piece.
Topics covered:
- How to safely cut glass and mirror, including when to use a rotary cutter, and when a scoring tool and running pliers are preferred
- Ideas and examples for arranging glass and mirror pieces, hardware bit, and other small items on your base—design help is available!
- Which types of adhesives are appropriate for which materials
- Inspiration for future projects to make on your own
Skill level: This class is ideal for beginners ages 18 and over, as well as 16 and 17-year-olds with parent or guardian permission.
The ReBuilding Center offers many home repair and improvement classes every month, including plumbing, tiling, drywall and more. They also offer woodworking classes where you can learn how to make your own cutting board, table, birdhouses, and more.
