First public discussion session on Portland’s surveillance technologies inventory

Community Event
The Smart City PDX program and the Office of Equity and Human Rights have been directed to design and implement a citywide surveillance technologies inventory. These events will allow attendees to learn more and participate in defining what information needs to be part of the inventory.
6:00 pm 7:30 pm
Available Online

At this event you will learn to identify surveillance technologies and explore what information needs to be part of the citywide inventory of surveillance technologies.

Some questions we will explore are:

  • If you see a new surveillance camera on your block, what do you want to know about it?
  • Would you be concerned if a city employee accessed information about where you park your car or how the City uses security cameras?
  • What level of information do you think a technology inventory needs to include?
