North Portland event with The Miracles Club to inform Portland’s surveillance technologies inventory

Community Event
The Smart City PDX program is coordinating in-person events dedicated to specific groups that are not usually able to join events online or in downtown Portland. This event is in collaboration with The Miracles Club, a North Portland based organization.
10:00 am 11:30 am

At this event you will learn to identify surveillance technologies and explore what information needs to be part of the citywide inventory of surveillance technologies.

Some questions we will explore are:

  • If you see a new surveillance camera on your block, what do you want to know about it?
  • Would you be concerned if a city employee accessed information about where you park your car or how the City uses security cameras?
  • What level of information do you think a technology inventory needs to include?

This event will NOT open to the public.

We understand that these voices need to be heard and our team needs to go where they are. If you are interested in a similar event, please contact the event coordinator or the Smart City PDX program.
