Introduction
Improving the experience to find community safety related data is a part of improving service delivery. Despite the interconnected aspects of community safety, there has not been a single page where one can find published community safety data.
This page contains a consolidated list of all existing community safety data dashboards produced by teams in the City. All links were found through Portland.gov and external sites such as Tableau Public and ArcGIS Online. Update frequencies and last updated dates are based on information accessed in July 2023.
Budget Data
2022-23 Fiscal Year City Council Adopted Budget Dashboard
This dashboard breaks down each public safety bureau’s budget for FY 22-23. It also provides comparisons across past year’s budgets. It was created by the City Budget Office (CBO) and was last updated December 2022.
Emergency Management - Neighborhood Emergency Teams Budget Dashboard
This dashboard is a breakdown of the Neighborhood Emergency Team’s (NET) budget from 2016 to the present. It contains information on program and project operations. NETs are Portland residents trained by Portland Bureau of Emergency Management (PBEM) and Portland Fire & Rescue to provide emergency disaster assistance within their own neighborhoods. This dashboard was created by PBEM and has information by each fiscal year starting July 2016.

This dashboard reports call volume statistics for emergent, non-emergent, administrative, and other calls from the Bureau of Emergency Communications (BOEC). Emergency Communications - Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) Workload Incidents
This dashboard is a summary of Bureau of Emergency Communications (BOEC) computer-aided dispatch (CAD) incidents in the City from January 2019 to March 2022, categorized by Portland neighborhoods and disciplines (police, medical, fire). CAD systems prioritize and record incidents, identify the nearest responders in the field, and efficiently dispatch personnel to the area.
