You’re invited! Be a part of a community conversation on the new Sustainability and Climate Commission. Join BPS at one of two online community information sessions and learn more about the commission process, future steps and more about the commission’s scope of responsibility.

Portland, Ore. — The Portland Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (BPS) invites Portlanders to register today and be a part of the conversation around the new Sustainability and Climate Commission (SCC). Join us at one of two identical events scheduled on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023, where you can learn more about the SCC’s purpose and vision from BPS Chief Sustainability Officer Vivian Satterfield.

You’ll learn more about the process, scope and work of the commission, and the timeline for recruiting and seating future commissioners. You can also share your input through an engaging, no-pressure activity designed to gather additional community input for the formation of the SCC. The SCC will be a new governance structure for climate action in Portland. It also will serve as the official climate connection to other governance bodies in the City of Portland.
