- Founder, Orange Splot, LLC, with a mission to pioneer new models of community-oriented, affordable, green housing developments in Portland
- Managed the finance and construction of over 250 units of affordable housing through community-based non-profit organizations
- Loeb Fellowship in Advanced Environmental Studies at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design; Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Portland State University; Physics degree from Swarthmore College

Mike Houck, Executive Director, Urban Greenspaces Institute
- 47 years of work promoting the integration of the built and natural environments in the Portland-Vancouver region
- Founded the Urban Naturalist program at Portland Audubon Society of Portland in 1982 and co-founded the Coalition for a Livable Future in 1994 to better integrate urban conservation with social justice and equity issues
- Co-founded and serves on the board of The Intertwine Alliance (www.theintertwine.org) which is dedicated to creating a world-class park, trail, and natural area system for the Portland-Vancouver metropolitan region
