What
An opportunity to share your perspectives on how community values get translated into visual design in the Lower Albina neighborhood. How will cultural life and Afrofuturism be integrated into the public space - the aesthetics of the buildings, open spaces, streets, and gathering spaces? How do we design colors, patterns, motifs, architectural elements and reference points into our new district?
Anything to eat?
Yes, there will be appetizers and drinks.
What happens next?
This conversation closes out the Reconnecting Albina Planning Project (RAPP), a collaborative effort involving Albina Vision Trust and the City of Portland.
The feedback from this event will inform district design guideline recommendations for the area's Development Framework Plan to help ensure that the redevelopment of Lower Albina reflects the vision and values of past and future residents. Albina Vision Trust's masterplan for the Portland Public Schools headquarters site, launching Fall 2026, will also build on this feedback.
