The Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (BPS) is partnering with the Northeast Coalition of Neighborhoods (NECN) to host a free learning event on Thursday, Jan. 29, 6:30-8:30 p.m., hybrid (in person and virtual), part of the ABCs of Land Use series.

Join us for an Introduction to Portland Zoning, a free community learning session -- part of the ABCs of Land Use series.

Attend the hybrid event either in person or online! All are welcome! Light refreshments provided for in person attendees.

Important note: If you plan to attend online, please register to receive the online meeting details (via Zoom). Registration is optional for in-person attendees, but it's helps us and you'll receive a reminder. Hope to see you there!

The Introduction to Portland Zoning is an opportunity to learn about:

  • How land use planning works in Portland
  • The basics of the Portland Zoning Code and Zoning Map
  • Where to find information and resources to navigate land use planning and zoning

This session is a designed as a friendly refresher, perfect for anyone who's new to or curious about land use planning and zoning in Portland. Come learn the basics, connect with neighbors, and ask land use planning questions directly to knowledgeable city planners, who are also District Liaisons for your neighborhoods.
