The City of Portland has released a proposal to remap environmental protections. These proposals have been refined based on public feedback that was submitted in response to the previous draft. You are invited to submit testimony to a Planning Commission hearing on Jan. 13, 2026.

The Columbia Corridor and Industrial Lands Environmental Overlay Zone Project, also known as the CCIL Ezone Project, has released a Discussion Draft that proposes three scenarios for natural resource protection in the Columbia Corridor. Public comments are welcome through Monday, Nov. 10.

The updated draft Ezones reflect site visit results and refinements of mapping policies. Residents, business owners, and property owners are invited to review the updated draft Ezones on the CCIL Map App. Contact project staff with questions or use the Map App to request a site visit.

In partnership with the Bureau of Environmental Services' Wetland Inventory Project, the Columbia-Industrial Ezone Project is offering free wetland determinations to the owners of properties on which draft wetlands are mapped. Learn more about draft wetland mapping and see if your site qualifies.
