Portland’s Central City is Oregon’s urban center, with the densest population of people and jobs in the state.

The Lower SE Rising Area Plan assessed land use and transportation issues in Brentwood-Darlington and portions of Mt Scott-Arleta, Woodstock and Lents. On May 2, 2024, City Council unanimously adopted the plan. The land use map amendments become effective Oct. 1, 2024.

Exploring future streetcar to Montgomery Park in NW and Hollywood Town Center in NE Portland, and jobs and housing opportunities along the way. While work on the NE areas has concluded, work on the NW area continues and has resulted in a Montgomery Park Area Plan (MPAP) Proposed Draft.

Historic Parkrose is leading work on the Parkrose Community Plan in partnership with the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability and other government and community partners to address topics such as safe streets, housing and displacement, access to jobs, community spaces, and emergency preparedness.

Explores opportunities to create a complete and connected neighborhood on the 30-acre site at NE 122nd Avenue and NE Shaver Street.

The Bureau of Planning and Sustainability and Portland Bureau of Transportation are working with community members to develop transportation and land use plans in South Portland, featuring a Naito Main Street Plan.

Effective March 31, 2023, the WPTC Plan lays out a vision for a healthy, connected, and multi-cultural town center and includes an action plan to meet the diverse needs of current and future residents and businesses.
