As a homeowner or renter in Portland, standard curbside waste collection service includes garbagerecycling (paper, metal, and plastic), glass recycling; and compost (food and yard waste).

Your home has an assigned garbage and recycling company and rates and service options are set by the City.

The City requires property owners, managers, and landlords of residential rentals (1-4 units) to pay for adequate garbage, recycling, and compost service for their tenants.
