About this workshop
Join the Office of Community and Civic Life’s Community Safety team to learn about your responsibilities as a pedestrian and your responsibilities as a driver and help us decrease pedestrian fatalities and serious injuries in Portland especially in the darker winter days. Did you know a quarter of all pedestrians struck by vehicles are hit in crosswalks? Did you know that as a driver you have to allow a person who is blind or visually impaired clear the street before you can go? Or as a pedestrian you don’t always have the right of way? Join us, increase your knowledge and help make our communities safer for everyone.
