The Ezone Map Correction Project is correcting the maps of conservation and protection overlay zones (ezones) to better align with existing rivers, streams, wetlands, flood areas, vegetation, steep slopes and wildlife habitat. This will not only protect Portland’s natural resources but will reduce risks to our homes and other buildings as well as roads and other infrastructure from flooding and landslides.
The Planning and Sustainability Commission will hear public testimony on the Environmental Overlay Zone Map Correction Project (Ezone Project) during a virtual public hearing on Tuesday, July 28 at 5:30 p.m. Based on the PSC’s comments about the process at a briefing on the project, staff will be recommending that the hearing be continued to the Fall to allow more time for people to review the proposals.
Watch the public hearing (live stream and recorded).
