Explore individual building metrics

Each year the City publishes energy performance metrics for individual buildings and a summary annual report. You can access 2018 energy performance information for more than 800 commercial buildings in Portland by viewing data in a spreadsheet or exploring it in an online interactive map. New functionality added to the map this year allows you to directly compare buildings within the map interface according to key characteristics.

See which buildings topped the list

A list of buildings and their energy scores.

The Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (BPS) also publishes a ranked list of verified top performing buildings. The list includes buildings that exhibited exemplary energy efficiency during 2018 as demonstrated by the ENERGY STAR® score reported to BPS. These buildings have also taken the voluntary step of getting energy performance metrics verified or certified by a licensed professional. This image shows the top five buildings on the list. Understand local energy performance trends

Each year, BPS analyzes the energy performance reporting data and releases a summary annual report. The report describes trends in Portland's commercial building sector by building size and type. This year's report also captures trends across multiple reporting years. You can access the annual report by visiting BPS's program website
