Open Data Day is an annual celebration of open data all over the world. Groups from around the world create local events on the day where they will use open data in their communities.
Open data is a tool that the government can use to publish data and information about its operations and programs in a proactive way. It helps with transparency, public engagement, and can empower local communities.
This year the agenda includes live 30 minute presentations and recorded 15 minutes conversations. Live presentations are intended to invite city employees to ask questions of our guest speakers; while recorded discussions are for informative purposes to the public.
