Are you in the process of buying or selling a home? Nearly every home advertised for sale in Portland requires a Home Energy Score (HES) at the time they are listed for sale. Home sellers that meet income thresholds may be eligible to get one at no cost.

Qualifying income levels for AMI vary by household size. For example, a family of four would qualify if their total household income was less than $80,000, and a single individual would qualify with $65,000 or less in total annual income. Find out if you qualify with Portland Housing Bureau’s AMI calculator tool

If you think you qualify and are in the early steps of selling your home, contact Community Energy Project (CEP):

Once qualified, CEP will also schedule and perform the free Home Energy Assessment.

Since the Home Energy Score program launch in 2018, over 44,000 homes have received an HES assessment, providing valuable information to potential new home buyers. The HES report provides helpful information that can reduce costs and increase comfort.
