Equitable Gas Leaf Blower Phase-out

Effective January 1, 2026
Portland City Council unanimously voted to phase out gas-powered leaf blowers starting January 1, 2026. This policy will improve public health and quality of life for landscape workers and residents. In 2026 and 2027, they will be allowed October-December, with a full ban beginning January 1, 2028.
