Overview

The City of Portland is committed to anti-racism, equity, transparency, communication, collaboration and fiscal responsibility. Using these values as our foundation, We Are Better Together (WABT) works with our partners, City employees and the community to meet the following goals: 

  • Make a conscious effort to be include all members of our community. 
  • Ensure that our policies and procedures are designed to reflect the City’s values; developing appropriate messaging, procedures and actions to support each other and meet the needs of the community we serve. 
  • Leverage City resources to assist and support underserved communities, youth, workforce, D/M/W/ESB/SDVBE, and culturally specific organizations. 
  • Create opportunities for City staff to build relationships in the community.

Note: Event dates fill up quickly from April through December, so please submit your request at the beginning of our fiscal year, which starts July 1. Or submit the request at least three months in advance of your event.
