Joint Statement from the City of Portland and PROTEC17

The City of Portland and Professional & Technical Employees Local 17 (PROTEC17) have reached a tentative agreement on a new collective bargaining agreement.

The tentative agreement follows months of negotiations, including mediation, between the City and PROTEC17.

PROTEC17 represents nearly 1,000 employees who perform a wide range of professional and technical work across the City, from designing and delivering infrastructure projects and supporting City technology systems to planning, permitting, mapping, environmental and natural resource work, public health and crisis response, and communicating with the public.

A detailed overview of the tentative agreement and timeline for ratification will be shared with PROTEC17 members and the public when available.
