Updated information on the City’s Collective Bargaining Agreement with District Council of Trade Unions (DCTU)

On Wednesday, February 9, 2022, the DCTU and the City signed a tentative agreement for a new 4-year collective bargaining agreement.

DCTU membership voted to ratify the City’s final offer during the week of February 7th and the City will be taking this agreement to Council for their ratification vote in the weeks ahead.

A copy of the parties' signed tentative agreement which amends the City’s previous final offer is attached below:

The City’s Collective Bargaining Agreement with DCTU expired on December 31, 2020, following a six month term extension.

The City and the DCTU bargaining teams have been diligently negotiating for many months now to find an agreement that works for all parties and serves both our City and the interests of their respective unions.

After working with a State Mediator since July of 2021, the DCTU declared impasse on Monday, December 13, 2021. As a result of this formal declaration, the parties each submitted their final offers to the Employment Relations Board on Monday, December 20, 2021.

A copy of the City’s Final Offer as well as an updated proposal passed to DCTU on January 11, 2022 can be accessed below:
