CLASSIFICATION INFORMATION

Effective December 13, 2018, the City implemented a new non-represented classification structure. For previous classifications please email the Classification and Compensation Inbox, classcomp@portlandoregon.gov.

During the COVID-19 outbreak the City is prioritizing essential services and shifting support and personnel to support those services as needed. Employees may be assigned duties not specifically listed in their classification specification. Managers and supervisors will assign work that is no higher than the level of work described in the classification. This work is covered under other duties as assigned in the classification specification: "Depending on the assignment, the incumbent may perform a combination of some or all of the following duties, and perform related duties as assigned."
