Label: Blog post
It's easier than ever before for Kaiser Permanente members to get the mental health care they need.
Published

Kaiser is pleased to announce that online appointing is now available for routine psychotherapy. Kaiser has also made it simpler for members to access mental health therapy with in-network providers, without having to start with a Kaiser Permanente provider or get prior authorization.

In addition to Kaiser Permanente providers, a comprehensive list of in-network providers can be found at kp.org/locations. Members can self-refer to in-network providers for mental health therapy services.

Here's how members can get mental heatlh care at Kaiser Permanente:

  • Download evidence-based, no-cost tools that offer activities and emotional support coaching at kp.org/selfcareapps.
  • Submit an online survey at kp.org/evisits/nw to assess for symptoms like stress, depression, and anxiety.
  • For brief visits to improve overall emotional health, schedule on kp.org, the KP mobile app, or call 1-800-813-2000 (TTY 711) to make an appointment with a primary care or a behavioral health consultant.
  • For mental health conditions that require concentrated, intensive care, schedule on kp.org, the KP mobile app, or call 1-855-632-8280 to make an appointment with a mental health therapist.
