Portlanders use about 46 gallons of water every day. Find out what happens to that water once it leaves your home, school, or office and makes it way to the Columbia Boulevard Wastewater Treatment Plant, Oregon's largest wastewater treatment plant. At the plant, Environmental Services cleans the water, generates renewable energy, and extracts valuable nutrients that are returned to the soil.
Currently, large areas of the plant are under construction. We are unable to offer in-person tours of the wastewater treatment plant until after construction is completed in 2024. Please check back then.
