Report a Spill or Pollution

Service
Call our hotline 24 hours a day, seven days a week to report pollution or spills. For example: if someone is washing paint down a storm drain, or if you see a strange discharge coming from a pipe.

Making your report will take only a few minutes. If you leave a voicemail, we will call back within 30 minutes.

  1. Gather Information

When reporting a spill or pollution, please provide the following:

    • Your name, address, and telephone number.
      • We promise to keep your information confidential, except in the unlikely event that your report leads to enforcement action that results in court proceedings.
    • Location of the spill or pollution.
      • Include: property address, nearest street intersection, or the address of an adjacent property.
    • If this is a recurring problem, tell us if the concern occurs at a regular time of day or day of the week.
  2. Call Us

Environmental Services monitors the hotline 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If you call during business hours and no one answers, please leave a message. We will return your call within half an hour.

If you call after hours or on a weekend, leave a voicemail. The on-call duty officer monitoring the hotline will respond within 30 minutes.
