Many invasive plant species are harmful to habitats and the environment. The Bureau of Environmental Services (BES) can help with removal of certain invasive plants. See a list of the plant species we can help with in the instructions below. If you find any of these plants, please report them.

Review the Required Eradication Species List
Review the photos and descriptions of the 15 invasive plants targeted for "required eradication," which Environmental Services can help remove:
- Russian Knapweed
- False-brome
- Italian or Slender-flowered Thistle
- Jubata Grass
- Paterson’s Curse
- Giant Hogweed
- Orange Hawkweed
- Meadow Hawkweed
- Policeman's Helmet
- Scotch Thistle
- Common Reed
- Kudzu
- Blessed Milk Thistle
- Saltcedar
- Gorse
If you find any of these species, we need to hear from you to prevent larger, more expensive invasions. Environmental Services can only assist with removal of the plants listed above, not all types of invasive plants.

Document the Plant and Its Location
It is important to include a picture of the plant you suspect is one of these species. Note also the location and address of the suspected plant, including any nearby landmarks or reference points.
