Traffic Advisory: Sinkhole repairs to slow travel at W Burnside Street and NW Skyline Blvd through Feb. 9

Traffic Advisory
Published

The City of Portland Bureau of Environmental Services advises the traveling public that sinkhole repair work will require alternating lane closures at the intersection of W Burnside Street and NW Skyline Boulevard weekdays through Feb. 9.

Flaggers will direct travel, allowing one direction of travel at a time during work hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The traveling public is advised to expect delays of up to 15 minutes. We ask the public to travel cautiously, observe lane closures and the directions of flaggers to ensure worker and public safety. Use alternate routes if possible.

Environmental Services crews are working to repair a broken stormwater pipe and a resulting sinkhole that opened up in December on private property next to W. Burnside.

This work is weather dependent and the schedule may change.
