Spring Pre-application Deadline Approaches for Percent for Green Grants

Percent for Green grants support community groups who would like to complete large-scale green infrastructure projects to provide benefits for watershed health and the community. Grants range from $20,000 to $100,000.

Percent for Green grants award up to $100,000 to community groups who would like to build stormwater and drainage improvements that benefit watershed health, the community, and protect public infrastructure. Some examples include:

  • Stormwater management projects such as rain gardens and ecoroofs.
  • Green street projects that manage stormwater in the street.
  • Removing pavement or using pervious pavement.
  • Drainage improvements that fix problems with standing water and nuisance flooding, and provide stormwater management or enhance drainageways.

Applying for a Percent for Green grant is a two-step process with pre-applications due April 15, 2021. If your pre-application is selected, your group will be asked to submit a full application by June 1, 2021.
