SE Ladd-Tamarack Ave Alley Sewer Repair

Label: Sewer and stormwater
Label: Active
Environmental Services and the Portland Water Bureau have upgraded sewer and water pipes in the alley between SE Division and SE Lavender streets. These improvements increase sewer capacity, reduce flooding, and improve water service reliability.
Construction is complete.

Project Area

Construction happened in the SE Ladd Ave and SE Tamarack Ave Alley between SE Division and SE Lavender streets. Below is a simplified map with the area of construction.

Pipe work has occurred on SE Ladd-Tamarack Avenue Alley between SE Division and SE Lavender streets.

Temporary Alley Access Changes

Crews will be making concrete repairs at the SE Lavender Street end of the Ladd-Tamarack Alley to improve stormwater drainage.

To allow the new concrete to properly cure, the alley will be closed to through traffic during the weeks of July 13 and July 20, 2026. The closure is primarily needed while the concrete cures.

The alley will remain open from the SE Division Street end for local access. However, because the alley will be closed at the Lavender Street end, you will need to enter and exit using the Division Street entrance.

Garbage and recycling collection: Portland Disposal & Recycling (PD&R) has been notified of the closure and will collect garbage and recycling from the front of your property during these two weeks.

This project will help protect the health of the Willamette River Watershed.
