Environmental Services is installing an underground fiber optic communications network from North Willamette Boulevard, along the Peninsula Trail to the Columbia Wastewater Treatment Plant. The new fiber optic system will allow real time communications with remote equipment.

What to Expect
Crews will install the underground fiber optic cable through approximately 17 shallow access pits that will be excavated along the alignment. Work will be from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and Saturday as needed.
