Project Area
The project is located to the south end of Mississippi Avenue and the N Greeley Avenue exit ramp that runs under I-5.
Schedule
Planning work is underway, and field research is ongoing. Design work will continue through the Spring of 2024. Construction is anticipated to begin in Summer 2024.
What’s Happening Now
The week of February 19, crews will be in the neighborhood to clean the sewer line and then use a robotic camera to obtain 3D and sonar images of the pipes, which will provide detailed information about the condition of the sewer pipe. This work will take up to two weeks to complete. Visit the Pre-Construction webpage for more details about these activities.
Night Work
Due to the size and location of the pipes, and for traffic safety reasons, some of the work will extend a few hours beyond 6:00 p.m. or will need to be done overnight. We will be using equipment that generates noise, including sewer cleaning trucks, compressors, light trucks, generators, pumps, and ventilation fans. Night work will require lighting of the work zone.
Your comments regarding the schedule to work nights are valuable, and you can submit them to the Portland Noise Office by letter, email, or phone.
