Using ProjectDox in Microsoft Edge Browser
- Open Microsoft Edge.
- Visit https://eplans.portlandoregon.gov.
- On the ProjectDox login page, enter your email address and password.
- Tap the PROJECT number to open.
- Select the Files tab.
- In the left-hand file tree, select the folder you want to view.
- Select the document you want to view. A new tab in your browser will open and, after a moment with a “Loading Viewer” spinner, the document or drawing will appear. The document will display in Edge’s built-in PDF viewer, which lacks the features of ProjectDox Viewer.
- To access the full features of the ProjectDox View, tap the three dots (...) at the bottom of the browser.
- Tap View Desktop Site.
- Select Continue when prompted.
The file page will reload, opening your file with the BRAVA navigation tools (i.e. annotate, measure, etc.).
Enable ProjectDox Pop-Ups in Edge
ProjectDox uses pop-up windows. If you tap on something in ProjectDox and nothing seems to happen, it’s likely that Edge is blocking ProjectDox from opening pop-up windows. You will need to enable pop-ups within Edge.
- Open Microsoft Edge.
- Tap the three dots (...) at the bottom of the browser.
- Select Settings.
- Select Privacy and Security.
- If Block Pop-ups is On, tap Block Pop-ups.
- Toggle the button so the dot is to the left.
- Tap Done in the upper-right corner.
Clear Browsing Data in Edge
Most problems with ProjectDox occur because pop-ups are disabled, which is addressed above, or because old web browsing data needs to be cleared out. Follow the steps below to clear Edge's browser cache, cookies, history, and other website data.
- Open Microsoft Edge.
- Tap the three dots (...) at the bottom of the browser.
- Select Settings.
- Select Privacy and Security.
- Tap Clear Browsing Data to enter a new menu.
- Make sure Cookies and Site Data and Cached images and files are checked.
- Tap Clear now in red at the bottom of the browser.
