New State Building Codes
The State of Oregon’s Building Codes Division (BCD) released new editions of the Oregon Residential Specialty Code, Oregon Electrical Specialty Code and the Oregon Plumbing Code. Any permits issued in 2018 must meet the new code requirements, which took effect on January 1, 2018.

On Jan. 29, the Bureau of Development Services submitted its FY 2021-22 Requested Budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2021, along with its Five-Year Financial Plan. In total, the Requested Budget includes a $78.6 million operating budget with 397.8 FTE.
