Building Code Appeals

The Bureau of Development Services is committed to protecting public health and is rapidly changing the ways we deliver services in order to help slow the spread of COVID-19 while also supporting the economy and people’s livelihoods.

We want you to be aware of the following related to the building (plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and floating structures) code appeal process:

Currently, the appeal process is continuing as scheduled; the appeal deadlines (9 a.m. Thursday for both hardcopy and online submittals) still apply. Please submit your appeal using the online submittal system if at all possible.

If you are requesting a payment slip, payment information and the link to the online payment system will be emailed to you as soon as possible. Please wait until payment information (the IVR number and amount of the fee) is emailed to you to pay the fee.

Please note: There may be a delay in processing appeals submitted via hardcopy and processing payments made via check. Please submit your appeal using the online link and pay the fee online, if at all possible.
