Lunch & Learn - Asbestos, Lead-Based Paint, Dust and Site Control Measures for Demolition Projects with 1-4 Dwelling Units

Check out presentations from a public meeting on Thursday, August 24, 2018 about asbestos, lead-based paint and more for demolition projects with 1-4 dwelling units.

You can review the recorded presentation online. On July 1, 2018 the new City requirements for Residential Demolitions and Major Residential Alterations and Additions became effective. New dust and site control measures for demolitions of residential structures with 1-4 units and accessory structures over 200 square feet on those sites are now required.

Topics discussed:

  • Overview of new requirements
  • Documentation required prior to obtaining a demolition permit
  • Asbestos and lead-based-paint certifications required for the person conducting the demolition
  • Enforcement associated with the new ordinance
