The State of Oregon’s Building Codes Division (BCD) released new editions of the Oregon Residential Specialty Code, Oregon Electrical Specialty Code and the Oregon Plumbing Code.
Any permits issued in 2018 must meet the new code requirements, which took effect on Jan. 1, 2018.
Development Services staff are diligently working to update documents, code guides and titles that are affected by the changes. Download our partial list of notable code changes.
The State provides training from January-March after the code changes take effect, so additional information will be provided to BDS staff and applicants as it becomes available.
