Deferred Submittals for Manufactured Roof Truss Engineering Effective February 1, 2018
The Bureau of Development Services (BDS) will continue to allow deferred submittals for manufactured roof truss engineering on projects utilizing the Oregon Residential Specialty Code (ORSC).
Applicants must indicate this choice at the point of intake for the permit on the “New Single Family Residential Minimum Submittal Checklist and Sample Site Plan” form. There is an additional fee for the processing and review of these deferred submittals. The deferred submittal application is available online.
Deferred submittals process
BDS will only accept the deferred submittal after the main building permit has been issued. The deferred submittal will not be accepted prior to this stage in the permitting process. BDS is discontinuing any practice of allowing the deferred submittal to be turned in while the main permit is still under review.
For simplicity and ease of processing, BDS encourages customers to submit a full residential permit application, including the truss engineering, at the initial intake of the project.
