Notice of Proposed Rulemaking

Authority

Portland City Charter Section 2-506(a) authorizes the City Auditor to establish rules for the Office of the Auditor.  In addition, Code Section 2.14.080 authorizes the City Auditor to adopt administrative rules to administer the Political Consultant Reporting Program.

Therefore, the City Auditor’s Office proposes the revision of the below administrative rule, which is available for public comment for thirty days before adoption.

About the changes

Proposed changes made to 14.01 include clarifying the process for complainants to request confidentiality, switching from charging daily late fees to annual interest for non-payment of civil penalties, and clarifying the process and timelines for petitions for the reconsideration of determinations.


Submitting Comments

The City Auditor invites employees and the public to comment on the proposed revised rule. To be considered, comments must be received by 5:00 PM on August 12, 2024. Comments may be:
