We’re hiring a Performance Auditor!

Performance auditors are curious, analytical public servants who are driven to improve City government for those who count on it. The City Auditor is seeking an experienced performance auditor with the ability to independently manage multiple concurrent projects that include leading complex performance audits and providing technical assistance to audit colleagues. This position also has a leadership role within Audit Services to improve quality across audit projects. The Performance Auditor III position in the Portland Auditor’s Office is the equivalent to a Principal Auditor at other audit organizations.
 
The Performance Auditor III is part of an eight-person audit team supervised by the Director and Deputy Director of Audit Services. Together, we analyze the performance and management of City operations, recommend changes to improve services, coordinate the City’s external financial audit, and operate the City’s Fraud Hotline.
