The City Auditor adopts revisions to the following Auditor's Office procurement rules as interim rules, effective November 7, 2023, and for a period of not more than 180 days:
This update adopts the City Procurement Manual as part of the Auditor’s Office’s procurement rules and clarifies departures from City procurement rules that the Auditor’s Office has determined are necessary to ensure the Auditor’s independence and ability to carry out the Auditor’s duties with respect to procurement.
City Charter Section 2-506(a) authorizes the Auditor to adopt interim rules without prior notice when finding that failure to act promptly will result in prejudice to the public interest. The City Auditor has determined that there is a need to act promptly to amend ARA 2.01 and that failure to do so will result in prejudice to the public interest. The City Auditor therefore adopts ARA 2.01 revisions as interim rules without prior notice.
