Archives & Records Management is opening its doors for community members to work on individual archiving projects and receive guidance from City Archives staff and special guests from Albina Music Trust.
Join us for Archiving After Hours from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Free and open to the public. Registration required.

Bring cherished materials documenting your family or community histories and learn how to make them last for generations to come.
Items you may want to bring:
- Family photographs or albums
- Letters, correspondence, or other personal papers
- Clippings, publications, books
- Audiovisual materials (audiotape, vinyl, VHS)
Attendees will have the opportunity to get archival advice from Albina Music Trust and Portland City Archives staff, work on personal archiving projects, and connect with fellow community members interested in preserving their personal histories. Resources available at the event:
- Tables for working on projects with basic supplies (folders, gloves, sleeves, pencils)
- Scanning stations to digitize your materials
- Resource packets on archival best practices
- Explore Albina's arts and culture legacy through pop-up archival kiosks
- Light refreshments, music, and vibes!
