City Council holds regular meetings the first, second, fourth, and fifth Wednesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. and third Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. of each month. Council also meets for work sessions and executive sessions. Council committees meet on specified days and times Tuesday - Thursday each month
Council calendar
Regular Council meetings, work sessions, and committee meetings are live streamed on the City's YouTube channel, and previous meetings are also available. Council meetings are cablecast live on City Net 30, Portland Community Media television (Xfinity channel 30 and 330 HD). CityNet is also available to watch live on the Open Signal website.
Regular Council meetings
City Council holds regular meetings at 9:30 a.m. on the first, second, fourth, and fifth Wednesday and 6:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month. If there is sufficient business, additional meetings are held the following Thursday at 2:00 p.m.
For agenda items that accept verbal and written testimony, registration is available when the agenda is published by 9:00 a.m. Friday before the meeting.
Committee meetings
Council committees meet to consider, develop, and recommend legislation related to the committee subject matter. Committees meet on the specified days and times below, however meetings can be cancelled and times can change.

Public Works Committee
The Public Works Committee meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m.
Housing and Permitting Committee
The Housing and Permitting Committee meets the first and third Tuesday of each month at 2:00 p.m.
City Life Committee
The City Life Committee meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 2:00 p.m.
Community and Public Safety Committee
The Community and Public Safety Committee meets the first and third Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m.
Finance and Governance Committee of the Whole
The Finance and Governance Committee of the Whole meets the first, second, and fourth Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m. and the third Wednesday of each month at 2:00 p.m.
Work sessions
Work sessions are public meetings facilitated by staff related to a specific topic where information is presented to Council by staff and invited guests. Council does not vote or take any action because work sessions are information only. Public testimony is not taken. The public and press may attend all work sessions when held in person or watch the live broadcast online or on cable tv.
Executive sessions
City Council meets in executive sessions to discuss matters including litigation and labor negotiations. Executive sessions are not broadcast or recorded and limited attendance is designated under Oregon Revised Statutes 192.660. Members of the press may contact the staff member listed on the meeting event to inquire about attending the executive session.
