City Auditor Simone Rede

Audit Services

The Audit Services Division is the auditing arm of the elected City Auditor's Office. The Division conducts performance audits of City operations, and makes recommendations to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and equity of City bureaus, offices, and functions.

Campaign Finance & Lobbying Regulations Program

The City's Campaign Finance & Lobbying Regulations program serves to improve transparency and inform the public of efforts to influence City Officials. Both programs are disclosure-based, with information provided by City officials, lobbying entities, and certain political consultants.

Elections

City Elections works with the State of Oregon and Multnomah, Clackamas, and Washington Counties to oversee City elections, certify candidates and measures to the ballot, and certify election results. We also enforce City campaign finance and lobbying regulations and provide information to the public.

Fraud Hotline

The City’s Fraud Hotline is the secure, confidential way to report fraud, waste, inefficiency, or abuse involving the City of Portland government, its employees, or vendors.

Hearings

We conduct impartial administrative hearings and render decisions in Land Use Hearings, Code Hearings, Appeals of City Decisions, Towing Hearings, and other administrative matters.

Ombudsman

We make sure City government treats Portland residents and businesses fairly. We investigate complaints and identify ways to resolve them. As part of the elected City Auditor’s Office, we’re independent and impartial.
