The Audit Services Division is the auditing branch of the elected City Auditor's Office. The Division's mission is to conduct performance and financial audits of City operations, and to make recommendations to improve efficiency, effectiveness and equity of City bureaus, offices and functions.
The City Auditor is releasing additional documentation related to the August 2020 audit of Enhanced Services Districts.
This is a two-year follow-up to our 2019 report, "Portland Building: Greater public transparency needed about project costs, trade-offs, and missed equity requirement."
Wastewater goes through pipes owned by the Bureau of Environmental Services but the bureau pays another - the Bureau of Transportation - to maintain these pipes. This longstanding agreement has had mixed results. We make recommendations for both bureaus in our audit report.
