The Office of Arts & Culture is excited to announce that MusicOregon’s Echo Fund is open for submissions through September 5, 2025.
The Echo Fund empowers creative musical excellence and professional development by supporting independent, working musicians with funding for creative, non-performance projects that support new growth and spur creative and career development.
MusicOregon is one of three grantmaking contractors that the Office of Arts & Culture partners with as part of its Small Grants Program. The office’s other Small Grant Program grantmaking contractors are Friends of IFCC and the Regional Arts & Culture Council.
This year, for fiscal year 2025-26, Arts & Culture provided $100,000 to be distributed via MusicOregon for its Echo Fund. The program gets additional support from other resources, as well. Last year, for fiscal year 2024-25, Arts & Culture provided MusicOregon with the same amount, which was then awarded 22 musicians and bands—out of 304 applications received. Funds for this program are sourced from the City of Portland’s General Fund.
