23 artists selected for IFCC Artists Grant & Residency Program
As part of its Small Grants Program, the City of Portland's Office of Arts & Culture provided $100K to be administered by Friends of IFCC as part of the nonprofit's artist and residency program.

On March 18, 2025, local nonprofit Friends of IFCC announced a new round of awards for 23 Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center (IFCC) artists. As part of the IFCC Artist & Residency Program, awardees will enliven and activate the historic cultural center—which includes a 99-seat theater, dance studio, gallery, and office—in North Portland. 

Open to artists of any discipline, the program’s grantees create their works through a variety of mediums including dance, multimedia, multidisciplinary performance, music, spoken word, theater, and visual arts. 

Out of 182 applicants, this latest round of 23 IFCC artists selected includes:

Friends of IFCC is one of three Office of Arts & Culture Small Grant Program partners (along with MusicOregon and Regional Arts & Culture Council). Arts & Culture provides Friends of IFCC with $100,000 to be administered for the IFCC Artist Grant & Residency Program, which is a unique public-private partnership led by the nonprofit in collaboration with Portland Parks & Recreation. Those funds are used to grant the Portland-based artists selected for the program with up to $5,000 each. Friends of IFCC gets additional philanthropic support from the 1803 Fund and other partners, which covers grant awards beyond Arts & Culture’s per artist cap up to $12,000 for each recipient.
