Learn more about how to manage City records (paper and electronic), how long to keep records (records retention), and how to store and access records held at the Records Center or in Content Manager (TRIM).

Archives & Records Management provides guidance and training to help City employees understand their public recordkeeping responsibilities.  We offer tools and recommend practices to ensure that the City’s public records – both paper and electronic – are maintained in compliance with legal retention requirements and follow records management principles of preservation, access, security, and disposition.

Most records created or received by the City, except for those excluded by law, are available for inspection and copying by the public. Please contact Archives & Records Management with questions related to your records.
