Certified Advisory Bodies distinguishes groups who have submitted formal documentation (such as bylaws) to the Office of Community & Civic Life and are formally recognized by the City of Portland.

The River Community Advisory Committee is comprised of six members who represent a variety of floating structures interests.
Five community members were appointed to establish salaries for Portland's elected officials, including the mayor, auditor and city council. This group completed their work on August 21, 2023.

The Towing Administration Advisory Committee provides input into the development and outcomes of policies, regulations, and procedures that affect the city's Towing Administration Program and Private Property Impound Policy through the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT).
The TAC's mission is to provide ongoing advice to the Chief of Police and the Training Division in order to continuously improve training standards, practices and outcomes through the examination of training content, delivery, tactics, policy, equipment and facilities.
The Urban Forestry Commission is a volunteer body that is advisory to the City Forester, Portland Parks & Recreation Director, and City Council. The UFC meets on the third Thursday of each month at 9:30 am.
The Vision Zero Task Force was dissolved on January 25, 2021. The Vision Zero Task Force oversaw implementation of the Vision Zero Action Plan, reviewed actions and progress, advised on implementation, tracked equity impacts, and oversaw performance measure reporting.
