With additional funding, the City of Portland will re-open the COVID-19 Household Assistance Program application Thursday to help Portlanders pay for household needs. The program is part of a $38 million City investment in COVID-19 housing relief.
The COVID-19 Rent Relief Program was created to prevent evictions caused by the financial and health impacts of COVID-19. Funded by City of Portland CARES CRF funds, program delivery will be through a collaboration of PHB, partner organizations, Home Forward, and Multnomah County.
Low Income homeowners will receive financial and foreclosure prevention counseling, and/or support in navigating CARES Act Mortgage Relief options from one of four culturally specific non-profit community partners that serve BIPOC communities.
