Planning work by the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) to create a parking permit program for the Eliot neighborhood.

Timeline for proposed Eliot parking permit program. Ballots will arrive on Jan. 16 and must be postmarked by Feb. 9. If residents vote in favor of the proposal, Council hearing will occur in Spring 2024. If approved by Council, signs will be installed and online permits will be issued in Summer 2024. The proposed permit will go into effect on Oct. 1 if approved by Council. In spring 2025. a parking study will be completed and resident feedback collected.

A PBOT milling crew runs a roller over fresh asphalt at West Burnside Street and NW Broadway in Spring 2023. Milling is done when there is a lot of failing asphalt in a segment due to heavy use.
